What might my State Pension be?

Enter your total years of PRSI contributions — paid work, credited periods, and time spent caring all count.

When can I actually stop?

Your date of birth, and — if your contract sets one — the retirement age your employer currently applies.

Leave blank if none is set.

Based on a State Pension age of 66 and the Employment (Contractual Retirement Ages) Act 2025, which lets employees request to work on to State Pension age even if their contract sets an earlier retirement age. Your employer can still refuse for objectively justified reasons.

Not financial advice. These tools give planning estimates from published, public rules — they don't account for your personal PRSI record, private pensions, or tax position. For an exact State Pension figure, request a statement at MyWelfare.ie; for anything beyond the basics, talk to a solicitor, an accountant, or a regulated financial adviser.
